Billy came to the shelter when he was just a young puppy, along with his brothers and sisters: Jocky, Maggie, & Lady Hamish are all still in the shelter (sadly their sister Kirsty was killed by a cobra 2 years ago).
Billy is a very gentle soul. He and his brother Jocky are best pals and go together almost everywhere. I call them my Peaky Blinder brothers – they look quite tough and rufty, but they are both absolute big softies! Billy hangs around at the entry gate to their compound. Billy is a wee bit shy with humans he doesn’t know, but he soon warms up and once he trusts you he’s just adorably cuddly and lovely. He often waits until the hubbub of excitement has died down and the other dogs have lost interest and then he picks his moment wisely to sidle up to me for his cuddles and ear rubs which he loves.
He has a beauty of a soft, sweet grin that he uses to break hearts! If someone was able to adopt Billy & Jocky together it would be the dream come true, but he’s a sociable dog and would soon adapt to life with any other dog or without other dogs as long as he had the love of humans. Billy gets on with all the dogs in his compound.
He would be a beautiful pet for a lucky someone ( but all of our dogs would be, haha!)
