Timon also came to us from Soi Dog when they were on the island, they asked us to please keep Timon as they were unable to release him back to where they found him on the street.
He’s quite a nervous dog, if he doesn’t know the humans in his compound he will try to hide and keep a distance from them. It takes time for Timon to build up trust in humans (we think he was abused by humans when he was young) However, when he does learn to trust you (or you gain his trust) he is reaaaally sweet. He’s very gentle, despite the fact he’s quite big and strong, and he loves to come in for a back scratch. Often, if I’m sat down stroking some of the other dogs, I’ll feel a nudge in my back and it’s Timon coming up to say hello and ask for a bit of attention!
He’s never shown any aggression to humans, in the past any time that he has had minor injuries we have had to treat them, even with the volunteers he is not so confident with, he is nervous but never aggressive. He just needs some time and TLC to coax him out of his rough beginnings, but is an incredibly sweet and very lovable, handsome dog, with stunning eyes! He has a wee tear in his left ear from a fight with another dog, which doesn’t cause him any pain and adds to his cute character!
