Uuni 3 (aka Jess) is such a stunningly beautiful dog. She’s got one of the sweetest natures of any of our dogs – she’s super gentle and gets on well with any other dogs and any humans that visit too. Uuni came to us after having an accident and her front leg was injured. We tried to save her leg, but sadly in the end it had to be amputated, so she’s another of our tripods!
We are sure that she previously had a home and owners who loved her and I think she’s depressed being in the shelter. During a time when she had to come to my home for some extra recovery TLC (she had some sores on her tongue and some bedsores on her side) she just flourished immediately. In the shelter, she hardly moves around at all (to the point we thought she could hardly walk anymore!) but as soon as she got to my home, she was wandering around the garden and could get up and down the steps into my home very easily (which was a massive surprise to me!) It was really wonderful to see, but just as equally heart-breaking when I had to then take her back to the shelter again. ☹
She’s a super easy dog to care for, never causing any bother or hassle – she was super well behaved at my house, in the car, and at the vet, and would be a very easy pet to care for who is incredibly loving and gentle. She would be an amazing family pet.
